Holistic Honey To Moisturize Skin

Being on the 6th month of my pregnancy, dry skin seems to be inevitable these days. To keep my skin moisturized and well-toned, suffice to say, natural remedies are such a big help.
This morning I woke up feeling a little dry skin on my face so I decided to grab the honey in our fridge.
More recent discoveries show that honey is skin-friendly both when eaten and when applied directly to the skin.

Honey is high in potassium, it is excellent for fighting bacteria and skin impurities. Wow!
It is recommended that we use the purest, highest quality honey to begin with this moisturizing treatment. Given the natural regenerative properties, the higher the quality of the honey, the better the guarantee of great results.

To begin with, wash your face with your favorite mild facial skin cleanser. Gently rub it into your damp skin in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly with water and pat your face dry with a clean towel.


Apply some honey onto your face, using circular motions. Begin at your hairline, around your ears, and all the way down under your chin. Leave it on for five to 10 minutes to nourish and moisturize your skin.

Rinse off the honey from your face with lukewarm water, and then gently pat your skin dry. You will immediately feel a refreshing, new softness in the texture of your skin.

As for me, I instantly apply my favorite sunblock cream during the day to protect my skin from the sun's harmful rays.


The vitamins, mineral and amino acids found in honey make it a wonderful beauty aid. It helps our skin glow more radiantly, helps reduce wrinkles, thus making us look younger. Oh, I'm falling for the naturals already :) hehehee..

There are myriads of uses of honey. Apart from its moisturizing and cleansing benefits, honey contains the enzyme glucose oxidase.  World's Healthiest Foods explains that when glucose oxidase combines with water it produces hydrogen peroxide, giving honey antibacterial and antimicrobial qualities.
Honey contains antioxidants that fight bacteria and free radicals, which contribute to cell damage.
It contains beneficial nutrients such as B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, calcium, sodium chlorine, sulfur, iron and phosphate (read source from: Bees-Online). This is important when applied directly to the skin and as part of a healthy diet.

I took my photo wearing kissmark right before I had my afternoon snacks, and even as I have finished eating doughnuts and wiped a tissue on my lips, the hint of its shade still stayed there, leaving it look a lot more naturally pinkish. I also love the fact that this lipstick has Vitamin E, which will nourish my dry lips these days because of my pregnancy.. I am beginning to love Colour Collection lipsticks and excited to try more of their products. ☺

My "cutiefy" look today ☺

 This was the first time  featured and wore my peep toe heels in fuschia, silver, beige and royal blue color combination. I am so happy because the color goes well with the floral prints in my skirt and corset top. .

The sun is bright and up and this look I shall say is one of my very 'favorite' because this is so me. I love chic images and for the first time, I wore my favorite corset lingerie from Secret Possession, this was sent to me by my mother-in-law, who's based in Germany.
I would really consider corsets as one of my favorite outfits for this season in time.

I drink tap water most of the times.
Yes, not all people who knows me know that I am a little weird…hahahaha. I mean, with the kind of weather we have in our region, who would not want to have a glass of ice cold drinks, right.
Well anyway, I am used to those healthy practices that my mommy taught me. She was my idol.
I've always admired the way she takes care of her body even at her 50's. 
That has been my fitness secret since then and I still keep it that way now that I am a busy mom of two adorable kiddies.

As many have known, one of the top secrets to having a  beautiful , youthful glowing skin is making sure you have sun protection.
That is why, I don’t go out of the house without any sun block at all.

Chasing Stability in Christ

Really, you have to be an example to the people in your life who are unhappy.And you can do that just by being stable and happy around them, knowing who you are in Christ. It's one of the greatest witnesses you can have, because when you are stable, others feel like they can depend on you.

The reason we love Jesus is because He is our Rock. He's always stable.. always the same. always  loving us.. always in good mood.. always positive. And we cling to Him.

To be a witness for Him, we need to think right, talk right and not let those moods and attitudes control us. The Bible tells us that the Lord will allow and even arrange difficult situations in our life until we learn to be calm in the days of adversity.

You don't have to feel good about blessing somebody who hurt you. You don't have to feel like forgiving somebody to forgive them. You don't have to feel nice to be nice. But you can do it by choice. You just go and do it out of respect and obedience to God.

If you can keep your eyes focused on Him, He will do His job and contend for you.

Believe that you can experience God's wisdom and grace that will show you the way and allow you to experience victory in your life. ♥
